About

Ok, so this is a spinoff of a challenge I did a couple years ago.
I lost about 30 pounds two years ago doing the Lades Olympic Challenge and then proceeded to put that weight right back on. What I really miss though is how I felt when I did that challenge--really good.
It was nice to fit into smaller dress sizes and I just felt good. My feet didn't hurt as much, I could run up the stairs without getting winded. And my self esteem was up there too. It was awesome.
I tried again with Healthy Wife Happy Life, but never really got going and didn't lose any weight.
That blog is currently not seeing much activity and The Ladies Olympic Challenge blog has been deleted apparently, so I'm going to start up a new challenge and hopefully find success again.
I'm hopeful some other wonderful ladies will get on board with me, because it's nice to have the encouragement of others and also the accountability that goes with putting your goals out there for everone to see.
I think some of the things that made that challenge successful for me are the points guidelines that I tried to follow daily. And really, they're just about trying to get into some healthy habits.
The accountability was a factor as well-reporting in daily helped me keep focused.
Also in play was the sense of friendly competition. But what good is a competition if there isn't a prize at the end? Bragging rights are fun. And that will be one of the prizes at the end of this competition. But I also want to award the winner something else. I'm thinking gift card.
So, I hope you'll hop on board with me and join me in this healthy challenge.
